A night out.. without the pricey price tag

Is drugstore/target make up just as good as your high-end make up?

In the in its the products you find that can do just as good with quality and texture as the others can do.

Its all trail and error really! Ive found fantastic quality in high and low in make up 

But today I'm listing the products i would highly recommend for a night out for a full face of make up only using loreal/maxfactor you know the brands you find at ur local chemists or target! 

So lets get into it!

 ps I'm going for that smokey eye'd and light lip for this look.

Before i do my eyeshadow i usually do my foundation, i know this isn't the "right" way to do it but i really hate the way my eye-shadow looks on me i don't feel like I've done a good job when i don't put on my foundation first! Everyones different there is no right or wrong way, if your confident that you wont get particles of little eye-shadow freckles on you then go ahead do your shadow first! 

Rimmel Stay Matte 

Ive used many foundations, i work in cosmetics so I've tried alot of high end foundations from working in this industry 

When i go out i really do like having a cake face it comes out good in photos and dancing the night away this Rimmel stay matte stays on so i highly recommend this 

when you're looking for your right colour go for one that is close to ur neck colour and if you bought it too dark add some moisture in it THIS WILL LIGHTEN YOUR FOUNDATION COLOUR as well as hydrate your face!!!!

These two really compliment each other, don't over do this you don't need too much but if your like me and feel uncomfortable without powered then apply a little bit with your powder brush over your face

This is just a quick way for contouring ur checks this isn't a fully detailed way to do it its just quick and easy and gives you a fantastic result when your out ! 

 1) Nyx bronzer or any drugstore/target bronzer will do you only need to do this on ur cheekbone!

wait... whats a cheekbone?? well suck in ur face like a fish and you will see ur cheekbone structure and from that top bit of ur cheek/hollow bit when you suck in you can see where u apply the bronzer

Apply upwards towards ur ear rather than down

2) Nyx blush/shimmer
this will work as a blush as well as a highlighter for your checks apply this above where you have brazened your cheek bones, your cheeks





Lightly fuse these two together by brushing over the top with your fluffy brush

Now with eyes I'm going to show just a simple look nothing too crazy with blending etc something easy and still looks super sexy to go out!

Nyx roll on shimmer 

This is so easy to do ladies! theres no more for you just to smudge abit of black on the outer corners of your eyes and off you go! no you can totally look like you know what your doing because this roll on shimmer is easy peasy

Put this all over ur eyelid because when we go to the next step adding a black eyeshadow on the corners this bronze or gold colour will pop ur eye colour! for any eye colour 

Also heres a little story i was out one night and i saw this girl just have black all over her lids... its not hot and she had a red lip it just didn't look good if you want to scare men away and look like you got punched in the face then go ahead haha but really... please dont do that you dont need to!!

Max Factor
eye-shawdow sticks

These are magical and so easy to blend with ur finger if your going for the smokey eye get the black and white one

Use the black and apply on the outer corner of ur eye to the crease of ur lid and blend in with ur pinky finger

As well add black liner or the black shadow on ur bottom lash line

Master precise Maybelline

Its fantastic to do a skinny line on the top of ur lid and you can gradually build up to what you prefer without any mistakes!

Do a slight wing out the outer corner too! give that sexy look to your night out!

Max Factor false lash effect

This mascara is amazing it gives me very long lashes and it actually separates ur lashes without looking all clumpy and all yuck

Add afew coats until your happy with the look of your lashes 

When doing a smokey eye go for a light lip unless your feeling really raunchy sexy or just come out of a break up or you just need a pick  me up because work was super shit that day! haha 

 Wear a red, sometimes we need colours to feel better there isnt a wrong way but if your going to pull out the red lip maybe instead of adding a shimmer to ur lids just do the black shadow on the outer corner of your eye 

Revlon bitten glosses      will give you that simple touch finish to your lips to complete this look go for light pinks or nude glosses it'll really compliment the look and look for subtle and your eyes will pop more because this is your main feature in this look

Quality over Quantity

Yes we have all been there... we think the label says it all! It'll work you've paid the price right? You get what you pay for? ..... 

Buckshot... completely utterly buckshot... 

Some brands in the cosmetic industry should've just stayed designer labels! When they feel they can branch out and make the "oh mighty" best selling eyebrow pencil or eyeshadow sometimes... they're just completely wrong! 

Don't be scared to use a chemist/drug store product! They're just as good...  did you know that L'oreal is owned by Lancome have a think about that! There is only one place to create all these products in the one lab... so obviously MOST items are going to be very... very.. similar not the same! oh no.. im not saying the same... just extremely similar.. but you didn't hear this from me ;) 

For more than HALF THE PRICE ladies and gents.. you can buy a quality item  for under $20... just a different label 

Don't get me wrong... they're are a few product brands that are high end that make amazing eyeshadow,pencils,mascaras and much more! 

Im just expressing you have to try afew cheapies before you find the right one :) 

Now.. lets get to it shall we... here are my cheapie finds for the week! 

Models Perfer Essential brow kit

I recently got sick of using an eyebrow pencil, I've been filling in my brows for awhile now

This is an amazing kit! On the left is a wax/colour gel to keep your brows in place and on the right is setting powder/colour powder

You get a small angled brush a mini tweezers

This is only... $12.00! AMAZING yes it works just as well as any other brand I've tried in these kits! They're eyebrows you don't need to go spending $50 on an eyeshadow pencil anymore! ive been there and done that and to be honest I'm going to stick with this for awhile! Unless im going for a more subtle brow i will still use my CHANEL eyebrow pencil in blond

Everything you need in an eyebrow kit is in this! Seriously you will not regret it comes in two colours light-medium and medium-dark!

 Max Factor False lash effect

This mascara doesn't make your lashes feel clumpy or heavy, and eventually  separate your lashes

It as well makes your lashes appear longer in length

It's hard for me to find a good mascara i usually change every 3-4 months and try a range of different ones. This one for sure ill be using for awhile.. i also hate when some mascaras give me that shocking headache!

This Liquid liner's tip lets you build up to the thickness of the line
Achieving any look you want.

Stays on all day without smudging or looking extra shiny ( some liquid liners can give that appearance)

I love it the tip can let me achieve a small delicate line above my lid without having messing up and having a thick black line across my eyes.

Mecca beauty loop beauty box review!

Today i receved my first ever Mecca Beauty loop box! Ive been meaning to sign up to one actually but i cant find the right one and a little hesitant to find a monthly one.. 

Here is what i got inside this cute sample box!

Ive written what the pamphlet inside that mecca has provided plus on some items my own feedback! 

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha beta face peel pad

This apparently helps brighten your skin and reduce wrinkles,pores and spots

Usually when they say spots they mean sun spots or pigment spots but in my own opinion your better off getting laser its much more affective and better results than messing around with these DIY peels

Not putting this brand down... I'm sure its very "good" if you're willing to try this but for myself i think i might just leave this one...







Nars larger than life lip gloss in Gold Digger

This gloss creates a 3-d lip with delicate golden flecks and a lustrous finish

I do approve of this its really nice it gives that touch of gold shine to it.

You could put this over your nude lipstick or any colour really and you'll see the cute gold flakes shining when the light catches it!

Nars eyeshadow base

Ive been using this for months now and its amazing!

Your shadow will stay on all day/night, dancing, swimming whatever! It picks up the pigment of the eyeshadow, making ur shadow more deep and rich in colour!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Dr brandt CC mat

This gives your skin a flawless even and matte appearance

CC creams are like BB creams they're not a heavy foundation they're very light and if you like using your fingers rather than a brush then this is your kind of make up!

Im excited to try this i love matte finish than shine..! so ill let you know how this goes!

Nude Lipstick

Nude lipsticks!

Picture this, your going for that everyday look style but you dont want to ruin your simple make up look with a harsh gloss or a bright lip colour... so what do you do???? Find your perfect nude lipstick to complete your day look

Nudes

When it comes to a nude lipstick it can at times be very fustrarting because you want to avoid all the dont's to wearing a nude.

Don't find a shade that is way to light for your skin colour 

Don't wear a nude lip colour that looks like you've packed on some foundation on your lips...we want a nude-lip not an all round same colour as your face lip!

DO! find a nude lip that complements your colouring! test and try afew because you'll see which one suits you very well

A good way to colour match your perfect nude is to hold it up to your lip and see if it enhances your colour tone

 If you have a fair complexion, it’s best to use a shade that has a slight pink tone to it so you don’t appear washed out. For those with medium or olive tone, select one that has a honey-like colour to it, as this will also warm up your skin. And lastly, for darker-skinned beauties, a sheer pinky-nude will work wonders, or try a soft taupe.

Well your in luck.. ive found my top 3 favourite nude lipsticks as well as a lipliner trick that works like a charm! ;) 

                           L'Oreal Lipstick

This Lipstick from nars called  Cruising  works for all complexions its very close to the natural lip colouring! 

It works well for women with thin lips because its a pinky base giving the appearance of fuller lips  

The lipliner & gloss trick!

If you feel you haven't found the right shade in nude lipstick for you, but you found a liner! well your in luck... 

All you need to do is line and fill in your lips with the liner (you can also do this with any colour as well)  Once you have filled in your lips with your shade, add a touch off clear gloss!

Mascara reviews of high end and low end!

When it comes to Mascara you want to find the right one that is going to give you long/full lashes! or long yet separated lashes 

Everyones different! some love that chunky full lash look and others love no clumps look! 

High-End Mascaras

 

Estee Lauder Sumptuous extreme mascara 

Fantastic for a bold thick lash look! 

The brush is quite thick giving your lashes a more full appearance as well as length!

No flake or fall out, stays on all day
I don't like the water-proof version of this i find its way to waxy and clumps up extremely.

Tip: Apply afew coats for an extreme length eyelash look!

 Clinque High Lengths Mascara

This Mascara has an amazing light weight formula to it.
Each coat to the lashes giving them an amazing intense look without any clumpy bits. The curved fine toothed comb works perfectly and capturing each and every lash, including those hard to each corners

Ysl Shocking Mascara 

This mascara will give you very extremely long lashes, if you apply afew coats you notice yo

This Mascara will give you the most crazy looking spidery long lashes ever!

Its abit wet in formular so try not to smudge when applying on your lashes...

Perhaps try the old card trick when applying this mascara to your lashes

Tip: When applying wet mascaras use a square white card and hold it above your eyelid, make sure your lashes are on the card and apply your mascara this way you wont smudge ur mascara!

I do love my high-end pricey make up but if your looking for something reliable but cant bare to spend the $50 for a mascara then below are afew of my cheapie chemist favourites! 

The Falsies from Maybelline

This is a great cheapie mascara it literally gives you than length of false eye-lashs look to it

it can clump up and go bit hard on ur lashes after awhile but the brush is fantastic and grabs every lash

Maybelline Full N Soft

This mascara i used regularly and because it had vitamin c it grew my lashes to a wildly length ....i kid you not

This mascara will do lash separation and volume-building and the formula doesn't clump,flake or smudge!


So if your looking for your base mascara to grow your eyelashes i highly recommend this!

How to Apply fake LASHES!

When applying fake lashes it can sometimes be either really easy to some or just plain annoying!

It does take some practice but once you get a good technique you'll be applying them like a star!  

In my personal opinion applying individual false lashes are easier than a bar.. but everyones different! Some people say the bar (strip of lashes ) is easier than individual but i will explain both! 

Step one! Finding a SAFE lash glue, I've always used this LASH GRIP glue. Its fantastic and your lashes will come off with abit of water-proof eye make up remover. Your lashes will also stay on all day/night! 

Step Two Lashes! now with lashes i do use the cheap 2.00 shop japanese shop ones! Because they're good for a night out. If you're looking for luxury eye lashes then Napoleon or Velour lashes. 

 NOW TO APPLY!!! 

So after you have done your make up look, apply a small amount of glue onto the lash bar making sure that you glue all the bar of the lash which is the top of the fake lashes. Apply with a cotton tip might be easier so you put an even amount on

Shake the lash for about 40 seconds to let the glue get sticky/tacky. Doing this will help the lashes sit better and incase you make a mistake !

Starting from the outer corner of your eye apply the lash as close to the natural lash line as possible!

When you've got it in place gently pat it to secure the lash and fan ur eyes... YES! fan your eyes because this will quicken up the process of the falsies setting!!

Finally to finish it off add a few coats of mascara, this will blend in your natural lashes! if you want you can curl your eye-lashes with ur false lashes before applying mascara.

   Individual lashes

Now when applying individual lashes there are a few tricks you need to know! 

It is easier to apply individual lashes with tweezers rather than your fingers. The lashes are very fine and tiny so using tweezers will make your life easier to apply them!

Step 1) Put some glue on the back of your hand 

Step 2) Pick up your lashes (as seen in the picture) and dip the end of the lash bulb into glue again wait for it to get tacky before applying 

Step 3) Apply the single lash as close to your natural lash line, again make sure the lashes are facing up as seen in the picture
  is how you want to place the individual lash on your eye lashes

Quick tip place ur lashes upside-down!

Step 4) repeat step 1 and 2 and 3!
Until you build up how thick you want your lashes to look.
You can get a great look by just adding 3 lashes on the corner of your eyes if your in a rush wanting a quick cute look!

And again to finish off add a few coats of your favourite mascara
